Jesus sometimes taught in ways that seemed opposite of what was the prevailing belief. In today's lesson, Jesus uses the contrast of the opposites "blessings and woes" to teach us to be more mindful of those around us, take care of the needy, and show love and kindness to everyone, everywhere.
