Prayer Time Suggestions

Quiet your spirit and acknowledge
who God is.

Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation.  I will be honored throughout the world.”

Let the Holy Spirit search and
cleanse your heart

Psalm 66:18 If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.

Be armed and armored
1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.

Seek God’s directions as to how to pray
Proverbs 3:5,6  Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.  Seek His will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Be obedient to pray as God leads in His Word
John 15:7 (Amplified) “If you live in Me – abide vitally united to Me—and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will and it shall be done for you.”

Be faithful to pray all the Holy Spirit
has revealed

Colossians 4:2 (Amplified) Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer (life), being (both) alert and intent in (your praying) with thanksgiving.

The Church
1 Peter 2:8b, 9 (They stumble because they do not obey God’s word--) But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

Unity
Ephesians 4:2-6 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.

Spiritual Warfare
Isaiah 54:17  But in the coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the LORD; their vindication will come from me. I, the LORD, have spoken!

Wisdom and Discernment
James 3:17  But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.

The Media
Ephesians 4:14  Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.

Candidates and Leadership
Proverbs 11:14, Proverbs 29:12  Without wise leadership, a nation falls; there is safety in having many advisers. If a ruler pays attention to liars, all his advisers will be wicked.

Election Integrity
2 Chronicles 19:9 (Amplified)  The king charged them (officials). Do this in the fear of the Lord, faithfully, with integrity and a blameless heart;

Revival and Spiritual Awakening
Psalm 80:18b,19  Revive us so we can call on your name once more. Turn us again to yourself, O LORD God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.
Additional National Prayer Needs

Financial
Matthew 6:33 “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”

Policy toward Israel
Genesis 12:2,3 I will make you into a great nation.  I will bless you and make you famous and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt.  All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”

Health Care
Proverbs 3:7,8 Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil.  Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.

Immigration
Leviticus 24:22 (Amplified)You shall have the same law for the sojourner among you as for one of your own nationality; for I am the Lord your God.

Safety
Psalm 91:14,15 The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love me.  I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble.  I will rescue and honor them.”

Value of Life
Psalm 139:13,16,17 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.  You saw me before I was born.  Every day of my life was recorded in your book.  Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.  How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.  They cannot be numbered!

Technology
1 Corinthians 1:19 (Amplified) For it is written, I will baffle and render useless and destroy the learning of the learned and the philosophy of the philosophers and the cleverness of the clever and the discernment of the discerning, I will frustrate and nullify (them) and bring (them) to nothing.

Peaceful Transfer of Power
1 Timothy 2:1-3 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people.  Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.  Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and please God our Savior,
