Prayer Time Suggestions

Quiet your spirit and acknowledge
who God is.

Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation.  I will be honored throughout the world.”

Let the Holy Spirit search and
cleanse your heart

Psalm 66:18 If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.

Be armed and armored
1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.

Seek God’s directions as to how to pray
Proverbs 3:5,6  Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.  Seek His will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Be obedient to pray as God leads in His Word
John 15:7 (Amplified) “If you live in Me – abide vitally united to Me—and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will and it shall be done for you.”

Be faithful to pray all the Holy Spirit
has revealed

Colossians 4:2 (Amplified) Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer (life), being (both) alert and intent in (your praying) with thanksgiving.

Praise and thank Him

The Church
Joshua 1:8,9 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This my command –be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

Unity
1 Corinthians 1:10 I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.

Spiritual Warfare
James 4:7-8a So, humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you.

Wisdom and Discernment
Proverbs 2:2,3,5a,6,10 Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, -- For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe.

The Media
John 16:13 When the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.

Candidates and Leadership
Proverbs 29:2,4 When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan. A just king gives stability to his nation, but one who demands bribes destroys it.

Election Integrity
Proverbs 10:9 People with integrity walk safely, but those who follow crooked paths will
slip and fall.

Revival and Spiritual Awakening
Isaiah 57:15 (Amplified) For thus says the high and lofty One Who inhabits eternity, Whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a thoroughly penitent and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the thoroughly penitent –bruised with sorrow for sin.
Additional National Prayer Needs

Financial
Matthew 6:33 “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”

Policy toward Israel
Genesis 12:2,3 I will make you into a great nation.  I will bless you and make you famous and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt.  All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”

Health Care
Proverbs 3:7,8 Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil.  Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.

Immigration
Leviticus 24:22 (Amplified)You shall have the same law for the sojourner among you as for one of your own nationality; for I am the Lord your God.

Safety
Psalm 91:14,15 The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love me.  I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble.  I will rescue and honor them.”

Value of Life
Psalm 139:13,16,17 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.  You saw me before I was born.  Every day of my life was recorded in your book.  Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.  How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.  They cannot be numbered!

Technology
1 Corinthians 1:19 (Amplified) For it is written, I will baffle and render useless and destroy the learning of the learned and the philosophy of the philosophers and the cleverness of the clever and the discernment of the discerning, I will frustrate and nullify (them) and bring (them) to nothing.

Peaceful Transfer of Power
1 Timothy 2:1-3 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people.  Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.  Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and please God our Savior,
